Ujjain, March 3 : A crocodile that was noticed in a wheat field near Ujjain was rescued by a team of wildlife experts not before the animal grabbed the Deputy Ranger's wrist in its jaws.
The incident took place in village Jharda under Mahidpur tehsil. Deputy Ranger Krishna Kumar was trying to rescue the crocodile when the animal lunged at him and grabbed his wrist in its jaws.
His assistants used bamboo staves to prise open the jaws and take out the bruised wrist.Krishna Kumar was rushed to the district hospital, where he had to undergo nearly 45 stitches.The crocodile was later released in the Gandhi Sagar dam.
