Tamil Nadu reported one more positive case of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to seven. The COVID-19 infected person had travelled to Spain recently. According to Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijyabaskar, the patient is being treated under isolation.
Health Minister C Vijyabaskar in a tweet confirmed the new case: "#coronaupdate: A traveller from Spain tests #Covid_19 positive. Patient is undergoing treatment in isolation. @MoHFW_INDIA #Vijayabaskar."
Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami has ordered to follow nine-point agenda during the Janta Curfew to curb the spread of COVID-19 virus in the state.
The Tamil Nadu government as part of initiatives to control spread of the virus has declared holidays to educational institutions across the state till March 31 besides shutting down shopping malls and places were people gather in large numbers.
Palaniswami announced earlier that the Class X board exams scheduled to be held between March 27 and April 13 would be postponed.
As per the ICMR report, 341 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported in India so far. Out of which, six people have died due to COVID-19 infection.
