Counting to take place in 160 centres in Kerala: CEO

Thiruvananthapuram: All arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of counting of votes for the 20 Lok Sabha seats in Kerala that went to polls on April 10, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala

She said all sensitive booths had special CCTV cameras and were being guarded by central security force personnel.

She also said those who had any complaints in this regard could approach the court.

Congress MP and candidate from Kannur K Sudhakaran had alleged that there was bogus voting in the constituency.

A total of 74.04 per cent of 2.43 crore voters exercised their franchise to elect 20 Lok Sabha members from Kerala, where the principal fight is between the ruling Congress-led UDF and the CPI(M)-led LDF.

As many as 269 candidates, including six union ministers, are in the fray in the state.
