One of the first cases of coronavirus in India, a Techie from Hyderabad, has been recovered, said Telangana Health Minister's office on Friday. The patient was the lone Coronavirus case from the state. The man is undergoing treatment at the state-run Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad, will be discharged soon.
The state reported its first COVID-19 case on March 2 when the 24-year-old software engineer who returned from Dubai tested positive. He had met a Hong Kong national, through whom the virus transmitted.
As per protocol, the man is being kept under observation in the hospital for 14 days. During treatment, his samples were collected tests were conducted to check the traces of the virus. The tests were successfully found negative.
Earlier, Telangana Health Minister E Rajender said that as many as 200 medical staff have been deployed at the Hyderabad airport to screen all passengers.
