Vadodara, Oct 6: Ten Congress activists were detained after they allegedly burnt the effigy of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi here today, police said.
Congress party workers shouted slogans against Modi and burnt his effigy in Raopura area following which they were taken into custody, they said.
The agitation was held as part of the protest call given by the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee to expose the alleged misrule and corruption involving crores of rupees by the BJP government as stated in a CAG report, the party's Vadodara unit president Narendra Rawat said. PTI
