Mumbai, Oct 5 : Adopting a strident posture towards popular reality TV show 'Bigg Boss', Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Tuesday said his party won't allow the show to continue, come what may. "In the guise of this show, Pak's green poison is entering the country. Come what may, we will not allow the show," Thackeray said in a statement here.
"Don't issue law and order (disruption) threats to us. Shiv Sena will disrupt the TV show," Thackeray said.
Sena and Raj Thackeray-led MNS have threatened to stall the run of the hit reality TV show, protesting the inclusion of Pakistani artistes in the fourth season hosted by superstar Salman Khan.
The fourth season of the much-awaited show kicked off on October 3 with Salman unveiling the 14 contestants, including Veena Malik, Pakistani model and ex-girlfriend of cricketer Mohammed Asif and Begum Nawazish Ali, the cross-dressing host of a popular chat show in Pakistan.
The other contestants on the show include Abbas Kazmi, convicted terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab's former lawyer, veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul, Davinder Singh alias Bunty Chor, a thief from Delhi on whose life the Hindi movie 'Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye' was reportedly based and former dacoit Seema Parihar, who is facing several cases of murder.
Meanwhile, Pune police on Tuesday rounded up about 25 Shiv Sainiks when they staged a protest in front of a bungalow at Lonavala hill station where the shooting of reality show 'Big Boss' is in progress.
The Sena activists raised slogans for half an hour condemning the participation of two Pakistani artistes in the show, anchored by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, police said, adding adequate security had been provided at the place of shoot.
The protest follows the party's stand against the show on 'Colour' television channel, featuring two Pakistani participants, Veena Malik and Begum Nawazish Ali.
