Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Aug 3: A coin swallowed by a woman, when she was merely eight years old, was extracted 17 years later from her food pipe.
Dr Anil Agrawal performed the surgert after during x-ray it was found that the coin was embedded in her food pipe.
The woman had swallowed the coin during a fight with her brother, when she was a kid. Nobody knew about this, until a year ago, when the woman, Savita Koeri, who is now married and has two children, complained of pain in her stomach.
X-ray reports showed that the coin was stuck inside her food pipe and was partly covered by tissues.
