Jammu, Jun 25: The Army authorities have ordered a Court of Inquiry (CoI) into allegations of bribery against senior army officer Major General V K Sharma at the Northern Command headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir.
“A departmental Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered into allegations of financial impropriety in a contract case against Maj Gen V K Sharma”, an army officer said.
He has, however, neither been arrested nor detained, the officer said.
There were allegations by a supplier against the Army Service Corps (ASC) Gen Sharma for financial impropriety in an AC contract case, he said.
The ASC is meant for all type of supplies, food and other items to troops of Northern Command, including the Siachen Glacier sector.
