New Delhi: Chief Justice of India R M Lodha said today that he will take a call on opening more gates for advocates to enter into and exit from its court room as it often gets chocked with lawyers.
The courtroom at present has only one gate for entry and exit for lawyers making them difficult to get into at the peak hour. There are two more gates to enter the visitors lobbies which are separated from the space meant for lawyers.
“I would take a call soon on it. I have been thinking about it for two months and in court number 2 to 5 arrangement has been made. It is more a matter of sentiment that one should come from one gate from the front,” the CJI said.
After he took over the rein as the head of the judiciary, Justice Lodha made arrangement by dividing down the enclosure separating visitors lobby from rest of the room which paved an alternative for lawyers to enter into and exit from visitors gate also.
The CJI, which today stayed the proceeding in between for minutes in view of clogging of aisle by lawyers, said he will take a call on making similar arrangement in his court room also.
