Raipur: Election Commission has given its nod for amendments in poll timings in four parliamentary constituencies in Chhattisgarh.
State's Chief Election Officer Sunil Kujoor yesterday said EC has made amendments to poll timings for four Lok Sabha constituencies—Bastar, Rajnandgaon, Kanker and Mahasamund. Kujoor said under Bastar parliamentary seat, except Jagdalpur assembly constituency area all other seven assembly areas will go to poll between 7 am and 3 pm.
In Jagdalpur polling will be held from 7 am to 4 pm.
Under Kanker Lok Sabha constituency, Sihawa, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker and Keshkal assembly areas will go to poll from 7 am to 3 pm.
Polling in Dhondi Lohara assembly area would be held from 7 am to 4 pm and in Sanjari Balod and Gundardehi it would be held between 7 am and 6 pm.
Similarly, under Ranjandgaon constituency all areas would go to vote from 7 am to 6 pm, except polling in Mohala Manpur assembly area would be held between 7 am to 3 pm.
In Mahasamund parliamentary constituency all major assembly areas will go to vote between 7 am to 6 pm. Except Bindranvagadh assembly area will vote from 7 am to 3pm. The state goes to poll in three phases on April 10, 17 and 24.
