Chandrababu Naidu forcibly taken to hospital refuses IV drip

New Delhi: On a day of high drama at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan here, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was forcibly evicted by Delhi Police and taken in an ambulance to Ram Manohar



Accompanied by some relatives and TDP MPs, he was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Naidu was on hunger strike in the premises since Monday to protest against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and demanding "justice" for all. Andhra Pradesh government had said his protest in the premises was "unauthorised" and requested the police to evict him.

TDP leaders claimed that Naidu had lost four kgs during the five-day fast.

In Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, doctors said he was suffering from "mild dehydration" but his health parameters are within "normal range".

He refused to take intravenous drip and wants to continue his hunger strike as he wants to continue the fast, doctors said.
