Bangalore: India's premier investigting agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore to rope in experts for restructuring its operations.
IIM experts will introduce better monitoring mechanisms and redefine performance appraisal system benchmarks.
Presently, the performance appraisal is done on the basis of the results of cases being handled or supervised by officers in the CBI at various levels.
The experts will also study the feasibility of handling a PE (preliminary enquiry) and a regular case as a single unit of work. Also on the anvil is a better MIS for monitoring of cases handled by different units.
