After two years of investigations to unearth evidence against the accused domestic helps in the high-profile Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has reportedly dug out new clues in the case that are in the same lines as that of the Noida police, reports The Indian Express.

CBI Sources say, 'they have identified people who, through their influence, got the pathology report and Aarushi's vaginal swab sample' changed at the Noida hospital. The agency will register a case under Section 201 (destruction of evidence) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) against some doctors and other involved in the bungling.

The reason for this, CBI sources, say is that “the change of the postmortem report and the pathology report going missing was not an accident. It was a planned conspiracy”.

The CBI had recently admitted that Dr Rajesh Talwar, Aarushi's dentist father, is one of the suspects. The Noida police had also named Dr Talwar as the accused. CBI sources said, “We are now investigating Talwar's role.”

A source said, “We are close to cracking the case and a final report is going to be filed in the court soon.” The Noida police, had in May 2008 arrested Dr Rajesh Talwar after his daughter Aarushi and help Hemraj were found murdered in their L-32 Jalvayu Vihar residence in Noida.

CBI officials say they have connected the broken links of the case and the name of one person, who is not linked to the servants, has emerged. The CBI had recently questioned the Noida hospital staff and doctors and conducted narco-analysis tests on Dr Talwar and his wife Nupur Talwar. The documents, hospital register and other records were also taken by the CBI for investigation. Officials say they are trying to get ‘material evidence' in the case now.

“We want to be sure this time because the murder weapon, which is yet to be recovered, is an important piece of evidence,” the source added.

CBI sources say new facts have been revealed after questioning doctors and the staff of the Noida hospital, apart from carrying out the tests on Talwars. The official, however, did not disclose the details of this new person and the newly revealed facts, saying “the investigations are at crucial stage now”.

Earlier, on July 11, 2008, the CBI had given a clean chit to Talwar, and claimed the helps — Krishna, Rajkumar and Vijay Mandal — had killed Aarushi on the night of May 15, 2008, while they tried to sexually assault her. When Hemraj opposed, he was also killed, the CBI had claimed. The agency had conducted narco-analysis tests on the three in 2008., but did not find any evidence against the accused and they were released on bail in September 2008.

The Delhi Police traced Aarushi's mobile phone last year from a person in Bulandshahr. The murder weapon has, however, not been recovered yet.
