By Saturn's grace, an Indian village with no doors and zero crime
Mumbai: Shani Shingnapur is a small village in Maharashtra which attracts pilgrims who believe in the god Saturn or Shani. More than 100,000 people visit this town annually. Shani Shignapur is located in Ahmednagar District
The spectacle of the deity in black stone is overwhelming. A unique aspect of this place is, that no temple structure houses the Shanidev. There is only a simple platform on which stands the swayambhu idol, in black stone.
Not a single house in this village has doors because locals believe that Lord Shani protects them and if somebody would even dare to steal, Shani will punish him.
