Mumbai, Mar 5: Adding to the rush hour woes of local commuters, services on Mumbai's suburban harbour line were disrupted after a bundle of clothes derailed a train Tuesday evening, officials said. There were no casualties.
Two wheels of the motorman's coach of a train bound from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) in south Mumbai to Vashi in Navi Mumbai derailed near Wadala after they hit the bundle of clothes which was most likely dropped by a trespasser, said an official from the Central Railway.
"Due to this, trains are likely to run 20-25 minutes behind schedule on harbour line. However, harbour line traffic at Wadala has been restored and two down harbour line trains have been diverted via main line because power was switched off as a precautionary measure," the official said.
