Shahjahanpur law student case: District Court has dismissed the bail pleas of BJP leader Chinmayanand & the student who had accused him of sexual harassment.

Shiv Sena's youth wing president and Bal Thackeray's grandson Aaditya Thackeray has clearly said that he will contest upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections.

The development is significant as noone from Thackeray family has contested in an open election till date. It is widely believed that Aaditya Thackeray will contest election from Worli constituency in Mumbai.

BRAHMOS - India's supersonic missile successfully test fired from ITR, Chandipura

BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile featuring Indian propulsion system, airframe, power supply and other major indigenous components, was successfully test fired from Integrated Test Range in Chandipura, Odisha.

A Delhi court has concluded hearing arguments in Muzaffarpur shelter home rape case. The court has reserved order against shelter homeowner Brajesh Thakur. The verdict is likely to be delivered on November 14.

The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the bail petition filed by former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram in the INX Media case.

Justice Suresh Kumar Kait dismissed the bail on the grounds that after being a member of the Bar and of Parliament, "there is a chance that he may influence the witnesses".

However, the court observed that Chidambaram is not at flight risk and is not likely to tamper with the evidence.

Kait dismissed the order after hearing the arguments from both sides.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fires land attack version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile off the coast of Odisha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the world has "great expectations" from India, and asserted that his government will lead the country to a path of 'greatness' where it will be beneficial to the entire globe.

On his first visit to Tamil Nadu after retaining power in this year's Lok Sabha polls, the Prime Minister reiterated his campaign against single-use plastic.

"During my (just concluded) US tour I saw the world has great expectations from India, which is growing... we will certainly ensure the welfare of India, and swiftly, but we will make it such a great nation that it will be useful for the world," he said.

Making the country great was not just the job of the Central government, but also its 130 crore citizens, he added.

The Turkish military shot down a drone near the Syrian border after it violated the country's airspace multiple times. The drone of undetermined nationality was tracked down and shot by two Turkish F-16 fighter jets after it violated the airspace a total of six times, a statement by the ministry said.
