    Court allows air-conditioning facility for Chandrababu Naidu in Rajamahendravaram jail

    Rajamahendravaram central prison where is lodged for his alleged involvement in the Skill Development Corporation Scam case. A team of lawyers representing Naidu filed a petition for air-conditioning facility for the TDP supremo on Saturday in the Vijayawada ACB Court. "In view of the report of the team of doctors of Government General Hospital, Rajamahendravaram it is utmost necessary that the petitioner be provided with air-conditioning in his room at the earliest, in order prevent rapid aggravation of his skin condition," said the petition filed by the 73-year-old former Chief Minister's lawyers.

    Man arrested with 300 kg ganja in Ghaziabad

    The Crime Branch of the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate arrested a drug peddler and seized 300 kilogrammes of ganja, officials said on Saturday. The accused has been identified as 24-year-old Mohammad Zafar of Bareilly district.

    Four, including woman, arrested with synthetic drugs worth Rs 25 lakh

    The Excise department has seized synthetic drugs worth Rs 25 lakh and arrested a gang of four, including a woman, from near the international stadium at Kaloor here. Based on a tip off, the excise department apprehended the car in which the gang was travelling and seized 327 gram of the synthetic drug MDMA and arrested four persons.

    Union Minister Kailash Choudhary on Saturday asserted that those who want to live in India should say 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'.     Two persons shot at, injured by masked men in Bhiwandi; man blames in-laws

    Two persons were shot at and injured in Bhiwandi taluka of Thane district, a police official said on Saturday. The incident took place late Friday night in Mendhe village in Padgha and the two injured persons, identified as Firoze Sheikh (27) and Azim Sayyed (30), have been hospitalised, Additional Superintendent of Police (Thane Rural) Dipali Dethe said. As per police, Sheikh, who is from Chandansar area of Virar in neighbouring Palghar district, has blamed his in-laws for the firing claiming they opposed his marriage to their daughter.

    Child among 7 injured in cooking gas cylinder blast in Noida

    Seven people, including a child, were hospitalised with burn injuries after a small cooking gas cylinder exploded inside a house here, officials said on Saturday. The incident took place around 11.30 am in Salarpur village under Sector-39 police station limits, they said. "While making samosas, a small gas cylinder burst, due to which Gudiya (32), Maya (25), Malti (50), Vijay (32), Randhir (24), Saroj (22 years) and an 11-year-old boy present in the house got burnt," a police spokesperson said.
