    Netanyahu enters Gaza, vows to continue the fight 'until the end'

    In clear signs of Israeli control over parts of war-ravaged Gaza, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu entered the Islamist Hamas-ruled coastal Strip on Sunday to meet Israeli soldiers to boost their morale and vowed to carry on the fight "until the end". Netanyahu received security briefings from commanders and soldiers and visited one of Hamas' tunnels that has been revealed, an official press statement said.

    Two BRO officials were injured after their SUV was hit by a private bus near the Silkyara tunnel site on Sunday afternoon, police said. The accident occurred just half a kilometre away from the tunnel, where 41 workers have been trapped for 14 days, when three Border Roads Organisation (BRO) officials were on the way to the site in their official vehicle.

    AI plane returned to Kathmandu after pilots heard noise during take-off: Official

    An Air India aircraft that was to fly to Delhi returned to Kathmandu airport on Saturday evening after pilots heard a noise while taking off, according to an airline official. Also, prior to taking off, it was noticed after boarding passengers that a door in the aircraft was unserviceable. The plane was cleared for take-off after following necessary airworthiness protocols. An airline spokesperson on Sunday said the two issues were not related and at no point was safety compromised.

    Delhi: Woman bites off husband's ear in Sultanpuri, FIR registered

    A woman allegedly bit off her husband's right ear in a fit of rage in the Sultanpuri area of outer district here, police said on Sunday. The 45-year-old victim told the police that the upper portion of his right ear got dismembered due to the bite and he had to undergo surgery. The victim filed a complaint against his wife after treatment.

    2 drones found near Indo-Pak border in Punjab's Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran

    Two drones were found near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab's Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran districts on Sunday, a BSF official said. Border Security Force (BSF) troops intercepted one of the drones near Agwan village in Gurdaspur in the intervening night of November 25 and 26. Subsequently, a joint search operation with the Punjab Police was launched and the China-made quadcopter was found from a field on Sunday.

    Woman held for allegedly strangling 9-month-old grandson to death

    A woman has been arrested for allegedly strangling her grandson to death in a village in Gajendragad Taluk, police said on Sunday. According to police, the incident occurred on November 22 but came to light only recently when the investigating police charged Saroja Gooli with strangulating her nine-month-old grandson Advik as she disliked her daughter-in-law Nagarathna. Police said Nagarathna gave birth to Advik in February this year at her parents' house and was there for about six months and returned to her home only three months ago.

    Jharkhand: Mother-son duo arrested over theft of jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh

    A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly burgling jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh in Jamshedpur city of Jharkhand, police said on Sunday. His mother was also arrested for keeping the stolen jewellery with her while her son had fled to Kolkata, from where he was nabbed by Jharkhand Police. The theft had taken place at the residence of a businessman in Jugsalai area when he and his family had gone to offer prayers during Chhath festival on November 19.

    Russia says it downed dozens of Ukrainian drones headed for Moscow

    Russian authorities on Sunday claimed that Ukraine tried to attack Moscow with dozens of drones overnight, just a day after Russia launched its most intense drone attack on Kyiv since the beginning of its full-scale war in 2022, according to Ukrainian officials.
