WhatsApp has named Paresh B Lal as its grievance officer for India on its website.

The Madhya Pradesh government has so far distributed 3. 17 lakh medical kits to those COVID-19 patients undergoing home isolation, state minister Bhupendra Singh said on Monday.

The kits containing several medicines were given to these patients from fever clinics and through home delivery between April 18 and May 30, Singh, MP's urban administration and development minister, said.

State-owned Canara Bank on Monday said it has appointed S K Majumdar as its chief financial officer (CFO) with immediate effect.

"S K Majumdar, general manager of the bank has been designated as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the bank with immediate effect from May 31, 2021 in place of V Ramachandra, chief general manager," Canara Bank said in a regulatory filing.

The government on Monday said the deadline for filing monthly GST sales returns for May has been extended by 15 days till June 26.

Equity benchmark Sensex rallied around 515 points on Monday while the NSE Nifty closed at a fresh peak, led by gains in RIL, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank amid a mixed trend in global markets. A steady decline in daily COVID-19 caseload also strengthened investor sentiment, brokers said.

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 514.56 points or 1.00 per cent higher at 51,937.44, and the broader NSE Nifty surged 147.15 points or 0.95 per cent to its fresh closing record of 15,582.80.

Reliance was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, surging over 3 per cent, followed by ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Dr Reddy, Maruti and ITC. On the other hand, M&M, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, L&T, and Sun Pharma were among the laggards.
