A special court for CBI cases in Mumbai on Thursday sentenced a Railway Protection Force's (RPF) sub-inspector to three years' imprisonment for accepting a bribe for Rs 4,500 in 2013.

The death toll in last week's sectarian clashes in the national capital has risen to 53 persons now, news agency Asian News International (ANI) reports. Forty-four deaths have been reported from the GTB Hospital, five from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, three at the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narain Hospital and one casualty was reported from Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital.
