    Two killed, one seriously injured as SUV hits them

    Two persons were killed and one seriously injured after an SUV hit them at MG Marg here in the early hours of Thursday. The MG Marg is a no-entry zone for vehicles.

    According to the police the incident took place after a scuffle broke out between two groups over some people climbing the Panda statue installed here and taking photographs.

    27 students tested positive for COVID-19 in Telangana

    27 students tested positive for COVID-19 in Mahatma Jyothirao Phule Backward Classes Welfare School, Indresham in Sangareddy district of Telangana, said Sangareddy district DMHO Earlier on Monday, 46 students from Sangareddy district had tested positive for COVID.

    Shekhar Shukla is new chairman of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board

    Shekhar Shukla has been appointed as the chairman of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB). Shukla was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Punjab Chief Secretary Anirudh Tewari on Thursday, according to a government release.

    He is president of the Punjab Brahman Sabha and district president of the Ropar Cricket Association. Shukla replaces Raman Bahl who last month resigned as the PSSSB Chairman and quit the Congress to join the Aam Aadmi Party.
