A 383-year-old tombstone has been found in a village in China's northern Hebei Province, local publicity authorities said on Thursday.

The publicity department of Nanhe County said the tombstone, dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), was recently discovered in Gongzhuang Village, Heyang Township.

The body of a five-year-old boy was recovered from the sea at suburban Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai late on Wednesday night, police said on Thursday.

The body was fished out at around 8 pm on Wednesday, and was sent to Bhabha Hospital for autopsy, which revealed that the boy had died due to drowning and no injury marks were found on him, senior inspector from Bandra Police Vijaylaxmi Hiremath said.

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has ruled himself out for the CM post in Maharashtra. Speaking to the reporters Gadkari said, "I am in Delhi and there is no question of returning to Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis will be the next Maharashtra Chief Minister. 

"Talks with Shiv Sena are ongoing, you will hear the outcome of the talks soon," Gadkari signed off by saying. 

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a plea filed by a death row convict seeking review of its verdict affirming capital punishment imposed on him for "horribly" gangraping a minor girl and later killing her along with her brother in Coimbatore in 2010.

In a majority judgment of 2:1, a bench headed by Justice R F Nariman, said there are no grounds to review their verdict upholding the death penalty of convict Manoharan.

While Justices Nariman and Suryakant dismissed the review plea, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who was also part of the three-judge bench, said he has a different view on the point of the sentence only. 

"In view of the majority judgment, the review petition stands dismissed in its entirety," the bench said.

Market benchmark BSE Sensex jumped over 200 points to hit its lifetime high of 40,676 in early session on Thursday led by gains in index heavyweights HDFC, ITC and RIL, as positive domestic cues boosted investor sentiment, PTI reported.

The 30-share index was trading 202.93 points, or 0.50 per cent, higher at 40,672.71. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 50.20 points, or 0.42 per cent, to 12,016.25.

IndusInd Bank, SBI, ITC, HDFC, RIL, Axis Bank and Bajaj Finance, advancing up to 3 per cent.
