    Train services suspended on section of Mumbai suburban network after heavy rains

    Local train services between Kasara and Titwala stations in Maharashtra's Thane district adjoining Mumbai were suspended on Sunday morning following heavy rains and a tree fall, officials said.     Armstrong murder: Mayawati says real culprits not arrested, demands CBI probe into matter

    BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday demanded a CBI probe into the death of her party's slain Tamil Nadu president K Armstrong, who was hacked to death here on Friday. She claimed those who have been arrested so far were not the real culprits and urged Chief Minister M K Stalin to refer the probe to the Central agency to ensure justice for the victim.     The Supreme Court will hear on Monday a batch of pleas related to the controversy-ridden medical entrance exam NEET-UG 2024, including those alleging irregularities and malpractices in the May 5 test and seeking a direction to conduct it afresh. The Centre and the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts NEET-UG, recently told the apex court that scrapping the exam would be "counterproductive" and "seriously jeopardise" lakhs of honest candidates in the absence of any proof of large-scale breach of confidentiality.

    J-K: Dumper hits 7 vehicles on Jammu-Srinagar national highway

    At least seven vehicles were damaged after being hit by an overspeeding dumper on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway early Sunday, police said. No one was injured in the incident which took place near Kunfar on the busy road, they said. The officials said the dumper was coming from the Jammu side when its driver lost control apparently due to overspeeding and hit seven vehicles before coming to a halt. A section of the highway remained closed for traffic for over an hour following the accident, they said, adding police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
