After the Cauvery Water Control Committee recommended releasing 1 TMC of water to Tamil Nadu every day, the Karnataka government called an emergency meeting of the Water Resources Department tomorrow at the CM's residence. Karnataka Dy CM and Water Resources Minister DK Shivakumar, senior officials of the department, Minister of Cauvery Valley are scheduled to participate in the meeting.

The Supreme Court on Friday, July 12 will deliver its judgment on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest and subsequent remand by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the alleged liquor policy case. As per the cause list of July 12 uploaded on the apex court's website, a bench headed by Justice Sanjiv Khanna will pronounce the judgement.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been admitted to AIIMS, Delhi after he complained of back pain late Wednesday night. The Union Minister was admitted to an old private ward, early Thursday morning. He is stable, under the observation of the neurosurgery department and may be discharged on Friday, AIIMS Delhi said.

In line with a decision by the Union Home Ministry over 10 per cent reservations to former Agniveers, DG CRPF Anish Dayal Singh said, "All arrangements have been made to recruit Ex-Agniveers in CRPF.  The recruitment rules have been accordingly amended. A reservation of ten percent has been made for Ex-Agniveers. They will also get relaxation in age. The first batch will get five years of relaxation while it will be three years afterwards. There will also be no Physical Efficiency Test for them. This is a welcome step for the force to recruit Ex-Agniveers as they are Army trained and have already served in the three services. They will bring dedication and discipline from day one."

The Central Government on Thursday (July 11) constituted a single-member committee, chaired by a senior officer of the rank of Additional Secretary, to verify the candidature claims and other details of IAS probationer Pooja Manorma Dilip Khedkar, who has been accused of seeking special privileges and allegedly faking certificates under the physical disabilities category and the Other Backward Class (OBC) quota to secure a position in the Indian Administrative Services.

On Karnataka Valmiki Corporation Case, BJP MP & BJYM President Tejasvi Surya slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said, "Investigation into the Valmiki Corporation scam is revealing the true nature of the Congress party and its commitment to the ST. The accused not only diverted close to Rs 100 crore funds to various bank accounts and shell companies but also it has come to light that one of the accused even purchased a luxury car from a dealer in Hyderabad. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi who claims to be the champion of the self-appointed custodian of the rights of the OBC, SC, ST in the country, as to why he hasn't taken any action against the CM. Is this your model of tribal development? ED is trying to investigate this issue, the state government and its agencies instead of cooperating, the CM & Deputy CM are trying to divert the attention from the investigation..."

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Rakesh Ranjan, known as Rocky, the primary suspect in the NEET paper leak case. Rocky was apprehended following extensive use of advanced technology by the CBI. Rocky is originally from Bihar's Nawada, but for the last few years, he has been living in Ranchi and running a restaurant.

On the Disha Salian case, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane said, "I have been saying that Sushant Singh Rajput and Disha Salian case was a murder case, there was a conspiracy to hide the murder. There was an MVA government, Uddhav Thackeray was the CM; Aditya Thackeray's name was in suspect, if he has not done anything, he should disclose his tower location on June 8, 13 (days of deaths).
