New Delhi: A four-year-old boy Deepak died and his cousin Pawan was injured when an under-construction wall collapsed over them on Monday morning near Delhi government teachers colony in Timarpur.
The two kids had gone to defecate in the open, when a 10-feet high wall, constructed two days ago, suddenly fell on them.
Deepak died on the spot, while Pawan was admitted to Trauma Centre in critical condition.
Former BJP Mayor Rajni Abbey demanded immediate arrest of the contractor who had built the wall, and also compensation for the bereaved family.
Local Congress MLA Surinder Pal Bittoo promised action against the guilty. The body has been sent for post mortem and a case has been registered against the contractor.
