Mathura: Discovery of an unclaimed suitcase at the Mathura Junction railway station led to a bomb scare yesterday evening, although the bomb squad later checked the luggage and found nothing suspicious inside, police said.
On being opened some documents and articles were found inside the suitcase, SP Railways Wazir Ahmad said.
A mobile number was also written on one of the papers, he said adding efforts were on to trace to the owner of the suitcase.
Besides the routine checking done thrice a day, security arrangements would be strengthen further at the railway station, Ahmad said.
DYSP Anil Yadav reached railway station along with bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs.
