Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Garhwal, Tirath Singh Rawat's car met with an accident near Bhimgoda-Pant Deep on theHaridwar-Delhi national highway on Sunday.
He has been admitted to hospital in Haridwar for injuries sustained in the accident. In the meantime, his condition is said to be stable, News agency ANI reported.
The accident took place at around 8: 30 am.
Rawat arrived at Haridwar Railway Station at around 4 am today from Nanda Devi AC special train coming from Delhi. He later started his journey for Paudi accompanied by his driver and gunner at around 7 am.
