Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Saxena will hold a press conference at 1 pm today, not so long after he resigned from the post in Bihar Assembly today, since he lost the no-confidence motion against him by Mahagatbhandhan MLAs.

Central agencies ED and CBI are currently raiding the residence of RJD MP Dr Fayaz Ahmed, amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly Session. Ahmed is also present at the house. 

Vijay Kumar Sinha resigned as the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly. He had earlier announced that he won't resign despite losing trust vote against him. The no-confidence motion brought by the 'Mahagathbandhan' was termed as against the rules and Sinha claimed that the motion was based on “false” charges against him, reported news agency PTI.

Ahead of the commencement of the floor test in Bihar assembly, CBI conducted searches at several leaders of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs scam that took place when Lalu Prasad was the railway minister. 

After the formation of new Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar, the floor test commenced in the Bihar Assembly today at 11 AM. Nitish Kumar-led Mahagatbandhan government of Bihar will prove majority. It already has support of 165 MLAs, way over the minimum requirement.
