Kolkata: West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan today said that he had not resigned yet, while remaining silent on if he had got any official communication in this regard from the Union Home Ministry.
“I have not yet resigned,” Narayanan told newspersons on the sidelines of a programme here, amidst reports that the Centre has asked a number of governors, appointed during the UPA regime, to resign.
The Governor, however, did not say anything when specifically asked whether he had got any official communication from the Union Home Ministry.
Asked whether he was thinking to resign, Narayanan said “I am not obliged to say what I am going to do. I will let you know when I take any decision.”
Though nothing has been officially disclosed, it is understood that the governors who have been asked to quit may include M K Narayanan.
