Hyderabad: The special CBI court yesterday convicted a former official of the Nagarjuna Grameena Bank in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh in a graft case.
M Prabhakar, former branch manager at Agmotkur Vemulapalli Mandal, was sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 30,000 under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
He was chaged with demanding a bribe of Rs 5,000 for sanctioning a crop loan.
