New Delhi: In a major success against terrorism for India, Bangladesh has agreed to deport more than 50 terrorists in coming days after New Delhi had requested for the deportation of 118 terrorists staying in Bangladeshi jails.
ULFA leader Anup Chetia was first of the terrorist deported under the agreement last month.
India had asked Bangladesh to share information on 118 terrorists including their pictures and identifications in a move to speed up their deportation.
Bangladesh has also agreed to dismantle terror camps being operated their. A list of 172 camps was handed over to Bangladesh, with locations, photographs and videos.
Along with the terror camps, India had also shared 38 terror routes used by terrorist outfits. Dhaka has agreed to dismantle those routes as well.
A week after Chetia's deportation last month, India and Bangladesh had agreed to share information on militants as home secretaries of the two neighbours concluded their talks reviewing internal security and other cross-border issues.
