Ahmedabad: An ATM of a bank was yesterday stolen from Odhav area of the city, police said.
The ATM of SBI, according to police, was stolen by at least six persons near Singharva village. Initial estimates suggest the machine contained cash worth Rs 6.97 lakh.
A senior police official said that no security guard was stationed outside the SBI ATM. There were no eye-witnesses to the incident, police said.
The road near the ATM bore tyre marks of a mini-truck forcing police to suggest the thieves might have used the heavy vehicle during operation.
