Assembly Election Results LIVE: Massive Mahayuti wave in Maharashtra, Soren gives jolt to BJP in Jharkhand

Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CMs Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis, and congratulated them.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday extended his lead to 12,818 votes over BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom in the Barhait assembly constituency, according to the trends available on Election Commission's website.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is trailing with in 51 seats and the Indian National Congress (INC), part of the MVA, is leading in 20 seats.

As per the latest trends, Milind Deora is leading ahead of Aaditya Thackeray from Worli constituency by a margin of 597 votes. 

The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance appeared set to retain power in Maharashtra, and was leading in 218 of the 288 assembly seats, as per the latest figures by the Election Commission.

JMM-led Mahagathbandhan has crossed the majority mark in the Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024 and is currently leading on 50 seats. JMM is leading on 50 seats as per the early trends.

"The results are still coming in, and the NDA is set to form a government in Maharashtra with a massive majority under the leadership of PM Modi... In Jharkhand as well, we are hopeful that the people will uproot the JMM," says BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla 

Sweets have been brought to the Mumbai BJP office as Mahayuti crosses the majority mark of 145  in  Maharashtra.

As per the early trends, Aaditya Thackeray is ahead of Milind Deora with 495 votes from Worli constituency.

Yugendra Pawar - 5,196 votes 

Ajit Pawar is leading by a margin of 3352 votes as per the second round of counting of votes. 

The Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 are shaping up to be a tight race, with the JMM-led I.N.D.I.A bloc is leading in 40 constituencies and the NDA is following closely with 29 seats. The closely contested battle has heightened the suspense as counting progresses for all 81 assembly seats. With both alliances vying for a majority, the final outcome could hinge on a few key constituencies, making this one of the most closely watched elections in the state’s history.

The Assembly Election Results for Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be declared today. The Eknath Shinde-led 'Mahayuti' government is in power in Maharashtra, while the JMM-Congress alliance has been running the government in Jharkhand since 2019.
