Assam ministers, spouses have assets in crores

Guwahati: Two Union ministers from Assam Paban Singh Ghatowar and Ranee Narah and their spouses have assets amounting to Rs 5.91 crore and Rs 8.78 crore respectively.DONER Minister Ghatowar, contesting as a Congress candidate to

Ghatowar's wife has a total movable property worth Rs 48,63,558 and immovable property worth at current value of Rs 1,19,25,000 crore.

The Union minister has no outstanding liabilities but his wife has a housing loan amounting to Rs 25,47,986.  Union Minister of state for Tribal Affairs Ranee Narah has movable assets worth Rs 3,69,11,901 and immovable assets worth Rs 2,74,61,060.

Her movable assets include cash in hand, bank deposits, LIC policies, shares in three companies and jewellery.

Her immovable properties include two plots of land at Laluk in North Lakhimpur worth Rs four lakh.  

The Union minister owns three residential buildings with a house at Boginadi in Lakhimpur worth Rs six lakh, a flat at Ganeshguri in Guwahati worth Rs 15 lakh and a building at West Nizamuddin worth Rs 2.44 crore.  

Her husband, Bharat Narah's movable assets were worth Rs 53,14,558 while immovable assets were worth Rs 1,80,32, 300 which include a residential building of 5000 sq ft at South Extension Part II in New Delhi worth Rs 1.73 crore.  The couple's son Rajiv also owns a land at Betkuchi in Guwahati worth Rs eight lakh.

Both Narah and her husband also owns jersey cows worth Rs 12,84,860 and four vehicles between them worth more than Rs 45 lakh.

The Union minister has no outstanding liabilities but her husband has two outstanding loans of Rs 64,89,544 from State Bank of India, Rehabari and Rs 4,69,288 from Kotak Mahindra Prime.
