Jodhpur: As details emerge from interrogation of Asaram Bapu's associate Shiva by the Jodhpur police, it has come to notice that the self-styled godman after performing his horrendous act on that fateful night, asked the victim to come again the next morning to his Dhyan Kutia (meditation cottage), but the girl refused.
Police sources said, the girl and her mother refused to come the next morning and left for their home town, and Asaram Bapu too left Jodhpur the same day.
The girl's statement has confirmed this report.
Meanwhile, Jodhpur police has left for Ahmedabad with Shiva, the associate of Asaram Bapu at his Jodhpur ashram.
The investigators are keen to locate incriminating CDs involving the godman and other evidences.
Police has sent Shiva's cellphone for forensic test to check whether any previous clips have been deleted or not.
Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has sent a letter to the Rajasthan government clarifying that Asaram Bapu was a preacher and should not claim special facilities given to a religious saint. The letter clearly states that Asaram be treated as a common man.
