Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma has urged public leaders and heads of departments of East Kameng district to work with team spirit to address the challenges of border area development, healthcare, education and unemployment in the district.
The governor was addressing the district heads of departments at Seppa during his maiden visit to the district yesterday, a Raj Bhawan statement said here today.
While emphasizing the need of special focus on healthcare, he urged the elected representatives to take up health related challenges on war footing.
Stressing on the education sector, the governor said that unless advancement is made in this sector, the district will not be able progress.
The governor said that there are lots of resources in the district, which needs to be tapped. The people of the district, especially the elected representatives and district officials have a big role to play.
Each one of them has the responsibility towards unemployed youth, he said.
He advised all to explore ideas for instilling skill and required expertise amongst the youth and motivate them towards self-employment.
Sharma further urged upon the youth to come out of their comfort zone and explore avenues to excel in life.
They should not look upon the government all the time but also make effort to meet the challenges ahead, he added.
