Srinagar: The Indian Army has completed inquiry into the recent killing of two youths in a firing incident involving troops at Chattergam in Budgam district.
According to an Army official at Army's Northern Command headquarters, nine personnel have been indicted for the killing of two youths on November 3.
"The inquiry has been completed and the report has been submitted," the official added.
He said the report is being examined by the legal department for further procedure as warranted under law.
"We will come up with a statement once the process is complete," he added.
Faisal Yousuf and Mehraj Ahmad Dar were shot dead while two other youths were injured in firing by Army at a motor vehicle checking point at Chattergam.
The Army, while ordering an inquiry into the incident, had promised that the probe will be completed within 10 days.
The Army also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of each deceased and Rs five lakh to each of the injured persons.
