Jammu, Mar 29: Army Chief Gen V K Singh, who was on two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley to review the preparedness of the force on LoC, paid obeisance at the cave shrine of Mata Vaihnodevi in Trikuta hills.
Accompanied by his wife Bharti Singh, Gen Singh flew from Jammu to Katra, base camp of the cave shrine and then to Sanji Chat helipad close to the shrine and offered prayers for about one hour last evening.
The couple later returned to Jammu, officials said. During his 2-day visit to the Valley, which concluded yesterday.
Gen Singh assessed the prevailing security scenario in Kashmir and operational preparedness of the force on Line of Control.
