New Delhi: A 23-year-old physiotherapy student was allegedly gangraped by her classmate and his three friends during a party at latter's house in east Delhi's posh Vivek Vihar area, police said.

According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday when the victim was called for a party thrown by her friend Akash at his house in Farsh Bazar where she was held hostage and raped.

“She reached their residence at around 6 pm where Akash's three friends were already present,” said the police, adding, “They then allegedly raped her in turns and held her hostage.” Next morning the accused left the victim near her house in Vivek Vihar and escaped from the spot after threatening the victim of dire consequences if she told about the incident to anyone.

The victim later reached at her home and narrated her ordeal to her mother who later informed the police about the incident. The victim's medical examination was conducted and a case has registered at Vivek Vihar police station, they said.  Police have arrested three of the four accused who have been identified as Akash, Jatin Goswami and Rohit.
