New Delhi, Sep 6: Amar Singh, lodged in Tihar jail after his arrest today in connection with the cash-for-vote scam, is the fifth MP in the prison.
Singh, who entered Asia's largest prison complex in the evening, will have DMK MPs Kanimozi and A Raja, Congress MP Suresh Kalmadi and Independent MP from Jharkhand Madhu Koda in the same premises.
While Kalmadi, Koda and Raja are sitting Lok Sabha members, Singh and Kanimozhi are Rajya Sabha MPs.
Former Telecom Minister Raja was sent to Tihar on February 17 on charges of corruption and his role in the 2G spectrum allocation case while party colleague Kanimozhi was sent to the jail on May 20 in the same case.
Former Commonwealth Games Organising Committee Chairman Suresh Kalmadi joined them on May 4 following a court order in connection with the CWG scam.
Former Jharkhand chief minister Koda keeps going in and out of the prison complex keeping in sync his attendance during Parliament sessions.
Koda, embroiled in various corruption cases of alleged money laundering and corruption, is facing probe by CBI, ED and the Jharkhand Vigilance Bureau. He is lodged at the Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi when he is not in Delhi. PTI
