New Delhi: Air Force Chief Arup Raha will be on a four-day visit to Indonesia from Sunday to consolidate bilateral military to military ties.
During the visit, Air Marshal Raha will meet Air Chief Marshal Bagus Putu Dunia, Chief of Staff Indonesian Air Force at the Air Headquarters where he will be extended a ceremonial reception.
He will also call on the Minister of Defence, General (Retd) Ryamizard Ryacudu and discuss bilateral issues.
The Chief of Air Staff will be visiting Air Force bases at Halim, Bandung and Bali.
A visit is also planned to PT Dirgantara, which is one of the indigenous aerospace companies in Asia with core competence in aircraft Design and Development, aircraft structure manufacturing, aircraft assembly and aircraft services for both civilian and military of light and medium aircraft.
A visit to the Air Force Academy is also scheduled where he will interact with the instructors and cadets.
An interaction with the pilots of Jupiter Aerobatic Team is also planned during the visit.
The visit plans in seizing the opportunity to bridge gaps in laying a foundation for a long lasting defence relations between India and Indonesia, a statement by the Air Force said.
