Nagpur, Dec 16 (PTI) The Maharashtra Government will constitute a two-member judicial panel to probe the alleged irregularities in the Adarsh Housing Society in Mumbai within two to three days.
"We have discussed the issue in the government and the process of appointment of a retired High Court or a Supreme Court Judge will be finalised along with the terms and reference within two to three days," Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said tonight.He was addressing a press conference at the end of the Winter Session of State Legislature here.
The government had announced setting up of the panel in the Assembly last week. The second member of the committee will be an officer of the rank of Chief Secretary.
On Supreme Court's critical remarks against Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh for shielding a Congress MLA in a money-lending case, Chavan said the government was yet to receive a certified copy of the judgement given on Tuesday.On the controversial Lavasa hill city project in Pune district, the Chief Minister admitted that there were violation of certain revenue and environmental norms.
