New Delhi, May 16: A woman threatened to commit suicide by consuming acid right outside the Parliament House.
Aarti, a resident of Shukarpur, had resorted to such extreme measures after losing the hope to find her husband who went missing some time ago.
Although, the exact details of his disappearance are not known, she blamed the Police for not coming to her aid.
Livid with anger and frustration, she also blamed her mother-in-law for her husband's disappearance.
The streets were blocked with PCR vans and several attempts were made by the Police to distract the woman by questioning her but unfortunately, Aarti refused to cooperate.
Finally, a female cop tried to snatch the bottle of acid from Aarti but she consumed it forcefully.
The victim has been rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
