New Delhi: Inching closer to a final crackdown on dissidents, the Aam Aadmi Party is all set to serve show-cause notices to its rebel leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan who are facing likely expulsion.
The party, which had earlier referred their cases to the National Disciplinary Committee, is in the process of preparing the list of allegations against them.
"Chargesheet is being readied. Notice will be served by this evening," party leader Ashutosh told reporters.
He also decried Bhushan's comments holding the decision of Political Affairs Committee (PAC) to refer their cases to the disciplinary committee as "illegal".
"It is not a good thing to question the national level disciplinary committee," he said.
Bhushan, Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha were dropped from top panels of the party at the National Council meeting last month.
Bhushan had been heading the disciplinary committee until he was removed from the panel last month.
The three-member committee is now headed by Dinesh Waghela and its other members are Pankaj Gupta and Ashish Khetan, all of them Kejriwal loyalists. PTI
