New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain today announced that 100 new ambulances will be purchased to serve the people in the capital.
He told reporters that all Delhi hospitals will now have to display charges, and all paid services will be subject to consumer forum.
Jain said, purchase of medicines in government hospitals will now be centralized.
After the death of patients, no hospitals can withhold the body on any grounds, he said.
Evening OPDs will be started for the benefit of working people, and all government hospitals will be computerized, with a trian run beginning at LNJP hospital from Feb 15.
The Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Cancer Hospital will start working in five months, Jain said.
All government hospitals will have to issue death certificates within seven days.
