Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, Mar 19: Thirty-seven tourists were killed when a Goa to Mumbai luxury bus fell into Jalbudi river near Ratnagiri early this morning, the superintendent of police, Ratnagiri, Deepak Pandey said.
All the 37 bodies have been taken out from the wreckage in the river.
Seven tourists are in critical condition. They have been rushed to a hospital in Chiplun.
Ten other tourists are also injured.
The SP said, the bus was overspeeding and it fell into the river upside down, with most of the passengers suffering severe head injuries.
Local villagers arrived at the spot to rescue the tourists trapped inside the wreckage.
