Nagpur: Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested three youths from Nagpur airport who were suspected of planning to join terror outfit ISIS.
All three were taken into custody before boarding a Srinagar-bound flight from Nagpur airport, an official said here.
The ATS officials said that they have handed over the trio to Hyderabad ATS.
"The three men were planning to join ISIS. The three men are from Telangana and have been handed over to Telangana ATS," Maharashtra ATS said in a statement.
All three, identified as Abdul Wasim, Omar Hasan Farooqui and Maz Hassan Farooq, are from Telangana.
The ATS officials said that they are now interrogating the youths to establish their further links.
Earlier this week, three Mumbai youths were suspected to have travel to Syria to join ISIS, but were traced near Pune. Also, a 16-year-old Pune girl was arrested while she was on her way to join the terror outfit.
According to Home Ministry, at least 23 Indians have joined ISIS out of which at least 6 have been killed in Iraq and Syria.
