New Delhi: At least three Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were killed today when Maoists ambushed their patrol party near Sukma-Malkangiri border in Odisha's Chitrkonda.
Six BSF jawans were also injured in the Maoist attack.
Reports say that the BSF patrol party was securing an under-construction bridge when they were attacked by the Maoists.
Meanwhile, police and BSF have launched a massive search operation in the region to identify the Maoists.
This is the first major attack on security personnel in Odisha in the last three years.
