In yet another horrific incident in the National Capital Region, a woman was kidnapped from Haryana's Sohna town near Gurugram and was gang-raped in a moving car for hours by three men before they threw her out in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The Police have registered a case and have begun its investigations.
Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Love Kumar said a police team has been dispatched to Sohna for further probe.
"She has been sent for medical examination. One of our teams have been rushed to the spot in Haryana's Sohna," Kumar was quoted as saying by ANI.
According to reports, the woman was kidnapped by three men from Sohna around 8:30 pm on Monday. She was gang-raped by the men in the moving car for hours before they dumped her near Kasna in Greater Noida around 4 am on Tuesday.
A passerby noticed the woman lying on the roadside on Tuesday morning and informed police. The woman was taken to a hospital for a medical examination where the police took her statement and began further probe. She is being treated at the hospital.
The police found liquor bottles from the spot where the woman was thrown out, indicating that the accused may have been under the influence.
Meanwhile, a shocking video of two cops taking a nap while on duty in their PCR van in Noida has emerged on social media. The video has now gone viral on internet. It is said that the car in which the incident took place did not pass through the area in which PCR van was stationed.
The video was captured by an unidentified person who sent the footage to Love Kumar after news of Monday's gangrape came to light.
