Virat Kohli, Alia Bhatt to participate in Modi govt’s Women’s Day campaign on March 8

A number of celebrities including Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood heartthrob Alia Bhatt will participate in Modi government’s gender equality campaign “We Are Equal” on the International Women’s Day om March 8.

A number of celebrities including Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood heartthrob Alia Bhatt will participate in Modi government’s gender equality campaign “We Are Equal” on the International Women’s Day om March 8.

Priyanka Chopra, former cricketer Virendra Sehwag and boxer Mary Kom have also given their consent for joining the campaign.

Union women and child development (WCD) minister Maneka Gandhi recently launched a campaign on social media to highlight the need for an equal opportunity to women in the field of education, health, nutrition, safety and dignity.

 

The celebrities associated with this campaign will spread the message on gender equality on Twitter and Facebook.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 every year to encourage respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social growth.
